Stringing and Eyeleting

If you require the tags to be fitted with a string or wire the standard procedure is to fit a flat 10" string or wire which is attached at the paper washer and gives two 5" lengths. Longer and thicker string can be attached for a small extra charge. More details of some of the cords we use can be found in the plain leaflets area under serial 6 the key word attachments.

We fit Brass and Nickle eyelets with either cotton, elastic, string or wire to many of our tags. The eyelets look neater though on some materials they are not as strong as the paper reinforcements as they clamp on to less material round the hole. Eyelets are supplied with either a 4.5mm, 5,5mm or 8mm ID. Standard tag elastic is supplied in white or black and is 1mm in diameter. The machines can attach a length from 3" to 8"(knot to hole) other lengths are fitted by hand and may cost more.

We can fit many types of string in any length. The cords which we fit on the automatic machines are far more cost effective. Please call for a quotation once you have selected your string type. More details of some of the cords we use can be found in the plain leaflets area in serials 6, 7 and 8.
